Makeup tips for older women

February 15, 2012 No Comments

Fresh, natural makeup is more flattering on mature women than dramatic makeup.

Smokey eyes may be sexy on a young girl but heavy makeup adds years to one’s appearance. Leave that for the teenage girl who wants to look older to get past age restrictions.

Go for lighter colours and natural shades with enough light and colour for a younger look.

Start with a light foundation or 2 way cake makeup to hide imperfections. Apply minimal makeup to avoid the masked look.

How to apply eye makeup on older women.

  1. Apply a highlight colour over entire eyelid. White shadow was applied lightly here.
  2. Line the upper lash line with a brown eye shadow.
  3. Use a black eye liner to fill in the upper lash line.
  4. Apply a coat of black mascara on the upper lashes.

How to apply lip colour on older women

  1. Apply a nude base for the lipstick, or a nude lip balm.
  2. Choose a rosy natural colour for the lipstick.
  3. Apply lipstick with a lip brush.
  4. Apply a dab of clear gloss over the center if the lower lip for more light.

Apply a natural rose shade on top of the cheekbones for a healthy flush.

That’s about it. You’re done. :)
